New Year Eve overnight stay, room very comfortable and warm, great view of the adjacent Waveney river from our room, room very clean with all facilities and ample parking few minutes walk from town centre, definitely coming back again.

I didn’t stay here but had a meal in the restaurant. All the food was amazing. The brisket was probably one of the best meals I have ever had. I will definitely be back.

Comfortable room, although the view over flat rooftops lacked charm. The meals were tasty. Well located for touring along the Suffolk coast.

Stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting family in the area. Comfortable room with good facilities. Very quiet. Located very near town centre with car parking and in a very attractive spot on the bank of the River Waveney. Only ate breakfast there which was very nice and freshly cooked. Friendly staff.

We popped up for a morning coffee at the hotel restaurant. They had a self-service for coffee and we ordered at the bar. Obviously, the tables inside have been reserved for the hotel guests. The coffee & biscuit was delicious. We sat outside on a table at the river Waveney terrace. We enjoyed the wonderful view!

Lovely location,lunched by the river on outside table food was great service a little slow but there were only 3 waitresses and the place was full. Waitresses were lovely very polite and professional considering they were rushed of their feet.After our meal a beer and a coffee took 35 minutes to arrive

What a lovely stay in this historic hotel. We had a great meal in the restaurant followed by a good nights sleep in our clean, comfortable and spacious room.

One of our best Hotel experiences ever.
When I booked and then changed the booking, Amy was brilliant, she really went out of her way to make sure we were able to book what we needed.
The hotel was bright and clean and our room, up in the roof, had a lovely view and everything we could need.
All the staff were excellent. Friendly, professional, and nothing was too much trouble. Special mentions for Marie, Zoe, Sam and James. Extra special mention for Georgia who solved our taxi problem calmly with a smile and was just generally lovely (clearly is deserving of a pay rise !!!).
If we are ever back in Beccles we would definitely book again.

A nice hotel set on the river, only visited for the evening so can't say too much as we weren't there for long. Bar service was quite slow at the function, only one person serving most of the evening...
The buffet was nice though.
